The horizontal type ball mill can undergo empty test run after being checked and is qualified. The horizontal ball mill test run should be done by the skillful ball mill operator and strictly abide by the ball mill safety operation specification.
1. The continuous empty run duration of the horizontal ball mill machine should at least 12-24 hours. If there is any problem found, solve it instantly. The horizontal ball mill can conduct load test run after the empty run is normal. The load test run should be done step by step. In the ball mill load run, the material should be fed according to the discharge condition to avoid the unnecessary attrition and damage of the steel ball and ball mill shell liner plate.
2. Add appropriate material and 1/3 quantity steel ball (the maximum ball load refers to ball mill general drawing) and test run for 12-24 hours.
3. Add 2/3 amount of steel ball and operate for 24-48 hours. According to discharge condition of the horizontal type ball mill, and the output of the qualified products, and the similar dressing plant practical load ball, set the reasonable ball mill ball load amount and test run for more than 72 hours.
The periods of the previous ball mill capacity adding and the test run should be set by the running in condition (temperature rise, noise, and surface contact) of the wheel gear, pinion and the speed reducer gear. It shouldn’t be running at full capacity before the tooth surface contact precision reaches the design requirements.
The cooling and lubricating system of the horizontal ball mill equipment should be in normal operation. The ball mill main bearing, transmission bearing, and the speed reducer temperature should be in normal condition. Record the horizontal ball mill test run carefully.
